Terms of Service

By creating an account or using CivicVoice, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use & Moderation policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. This document is a product template pending counsel review.

CivicVoice provides authenticated tools to report local public issues with evidence, follow cases, and (where configured) interact with verified officials. Features may be enabled country-by-country and city-by-city. Geography browseability does not guarantee official coverage or routing.

• You must provide accurate registration details and keep credentials confidential.
• Email verification (and mobile verification when provided) is required before full access.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Revoke lost sessions promptly from account settings.
• We may rate-limit, require CAPTCHA, lock accounts after suspicious activity, or suspend access for policy violations or security risk.

• You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant CivicVoice a license to host, moderate, display to authenticated users, and route it as needed to operate the platform.
• Moderators may rewrite public-facing text for clarity and professionalism while preserving raw text privately for audit.
• Duplicate or related issues may be merged into a canonical thread; related users may become followers of that thread.
• Do not upload unlawful, deceptive, or harmful material. Media must respect size/duration limits and validation rules.

Verified officials act within assigned jurisdictions through a dedicated portal. Elected representative information (where shown) is informational transparency — not a substitute for departmental case ownership. Social posts to external networks occur only after admin-reviewed drafts and an explicit Post action.

CivicVoice is provided as-is for civic case management. We do not guarantee that every report will be routed, resolved, or acted upon by a government body. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal advice. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to fees paid (if any) for the service in the prior twelve months — final limitation language requires counsel.

We may update these Terms as the product matures; material changes for a public launch will be called out after counsel sign-off. Questions: legal@civicvoice.example (placeholder).
